What is the difference between a draftsman and a building designer? +
A draftsperson prepares drawings. A building designer resolves the design as well: orientation, planning compliance, buildability and the approval pathway, then documents it. If your project is already fully resolved, drafting may be all you need; if it is not, design input usually saves more than it costs.
Can you draw up plans I have already sketched? +
Yes. We can work from your sketches or an existing plan, review it for compliance and buildability, and produce the approval and construction documentation.
Do I need engineering drawings as well? +
Almost always. Structural engineering is a separate consultant discipline, and we coordinate that documentation into the overall set rather than leaving you to manage it.
